QUICK NEWS:
I am currently serving as vicar/church planter at Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Colleyville, TX. Becky and I just made the decision that Saginaw, Texas will be the area where the new plant will be located. The Saginaw/Eagle Mountain area is one of the fastest growing parts of the Metroplex. We are already spending time out there each week, meeting people and walking through neighborhoods.
Graduation from CTSFW will be May 21.
Ordination will be August 7th, in Colleyville, TX
MUSIC NEWS: "I Come to the Table" is included on a new CD, Singing the Sacraments of God, from Concordia Publishing House. I think it's a free CD and you can download the charts from the company website. The songs are all from LCMS songwriters. Here's the link (www.cph.org/t-topic-csi.aspx). I'm performing around town some this spring, doing a couple concerts that were auctioned off at the Crown of Life Lutheran School auction. Should be a lot of fun.
AUTHOR NEWS: Just finished another ten devotions for CPH's My Devotions series. This set won't be out until May of 2012.
ACTING NEWS: Working on a new reel. Hope to get it done and find a new agent before spring. Not sure yet if DFW is a good place to land as far as film/comercial productions. Acting has dropped pretty low on the list of things to do with everything else going on. Still, I'll eventually get an agent and work a little now an then.
In other news, I have accepted a position on the board of directors of Providence World Ministries. Since 2004 I have been working with the folks at PWM on an orphanage and medical center in Central Honduras. I'm honored to continue with PWM in this capacity. I'm also leading a team from Crown of Life to Honduras this August 8-14. Anyone around the country is welcome to join us. Email me for the details.
